LIFE IS FOR FUN

  •

Playful KittensWhen my daughters were old enough to handle cards, I gave them a deck of “Old Maid” and showed them how to play it.  It was cold outside so they chose the place on the floor where the sun lit a square from the window in Lisa’s bright, yellow bedroom.

I went about my job cleaning and washing. I could hear them laughing from every room. After an hour or more, they were still laughing.

As I was passing their room, I stepped in to watch. They had moved with the sun and were rapidly picking cards from each other’s hands, the pile and throwing down the pairs. When all the cards were played out, they quickly turned them all face down, swirled them around on the floor, rapidly picked them up and started the game all over, laughing thru the entire process.

Something was quite different. I played this game as a child with my brother and I remember I was fearful that I would end up with the Old Maid and lose. If I had her in my hand, I wanted the next person to take it and lose. Having her was worse than someone having more pairs. The fear was exciting and I thought this was what games were all about. It took a few moments and then it hit me, “Where’s the Old Maid?”

They were unaware I stood there watching. They looked around and the youngest pointed back to where they had started. Without saying a word, they continued playing their game, instantly laughing.

I found the card under the bed. They removed the fear and distress of losing and winning, so all that was possible was having fun. Brilliant! What brilliant children. I just watched them with such love and admiration. The entire problem of the human race eliminated by a couple of little girls. If someone, anyone, any plant or animal loses, we have all lost. It is time to throw away win/lose games in life and start playing so everyone has fun.

A large number of children are enthusiastic about learning to understand fighting techniques like Kung Fu. Bruce Lee, Jet Li and Jackie Chan introduced many different techniques. I suppose they want to be the champions on the school grounds, where guns are not allowed. It is a good way to keep in shape. Life is for Fun, presumably not for fighting. I am sure there are more movies and books about fighting than having fun. Can having fun be exciting?

It can be whatever you want as long as it is positive. I get excited over sea shells. It is what you were trained to like and expect. I was excited in the hurricane that threatened our lives. Different strokes, but no points for hurting someone, including yourself. Love, Oracle Jai

WOW! This was great. I haven't completed all of your suggestions for changing my unhappy, unsuccessful life but I am up and running! I read a post that catches my eye and then focus on how to implement it in my life. I love the effort and the site is a pleasure to visit.

Love is the basic answer. Look in the mirror and tell yourself that you are perfect, beautiful, handsome, smart, a genius and have everything you desire. Then you must refuse to list any wants, wishes and complaints, for they are detrimental to your joy. If you see something, say a shirt in your closet that you dislike, then without a conversation about it, just throw it away. Instead of complaining about a friend, stop and think of a person you do like. Love, Oracle Jai

Pretty! This has been a really wonderful article. Many thanks for simply saying Life is for Fun. I supply vacation rental homes in Florida and I can see that I need to stress the fun in doing this. It is a whole new way of looking at not a vacation but a way of life.

Be sure you are having fun doing this because that is where others will get it. Love, Oracle Jai

Hello I am so glad I found your blog, I really found you by mistake, while I was researching on Bing for something else, Anyways I am here now and would just like to say thanks for a remarkable post and a all round exciting blog (I also love the theme/design), Life is for fun, you bet! Please do keep up the great job.

Thanks for finding my blog. It is perfect. You found what you were seeking. Mistakes are made up by humans. Look at nature and you will agree. Everything is beneficial. Love, Oracle Jai

This information is priceless. How can I find out more?

Play is for fun, not scores, win or lose. The only purpose to life is that you are alive so enjoy it while you can. Everything you do, every person you are with, however so briefly, is to be fun. If not, turn around and find someone else, something else to do and be with. Remember to have fun with the plants and tell them you appreciate their color, flower, pattern, leaves and for giving you oxygen. Have fun with animals and be sure they are free to come and go. Hope this helps. Love, Oracle Jai

The story of two children playing just for fun is so beneficial to all of us. We need to regroup and use this valuable information to change the way people play life. Thank you for this wonderful story and the point made.

Thank you for taking the time to compliment the blog and since you see it clearly we hope you intend to make your life playful. Love, Oracle Jai

I certainly enjoyed your website. Probably because I see life as a competition all the time, trying to outdo everyone else, even those I am suppose to love. I’m going to bookmark your blog and read everything you have written thus far. You certainly come with remarkable writings. Appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.

And I appreciate your comment from the bottom of mine. Love, Oracle Jai

I blog quite often and I truly thank you for your content. The article Life is for Fun has really peaked my interest. I am going to make my work fun if it kills me. Just a saying. I am tired of plodding to work, going through the motions, schlepping home, going through the motions. I am going to have fun. I am so serious, My wife complains I never smile. What is there to smile about?

After reading a few of your posts, I see I am the problem and I am the fixer. Thanks again and I intend to read everything you put on your blog, including watching your recommended videos. I feel alive just thinking about what I will do to make my life fun.

Great. Start by smiling all the time even when you feel down. When you walk, work, talk, smile and laugh for no reason. At first people will be surprised that old sourpuss laughed but laughing and smiling are infectious and they will join in. Just think you will have fun and so will everyone else. That's the way to do it. Love, Oracle Jai

As I also possess a web site, which is no where nearly as bright or beautiful, I believe you hit the nail on the head. Life is for fun and I intend to have all the fun i can get. Thanks for reminding me. Here we have made life a horror and we slave our lives away until the day we die. Your posts are rattling great and I appreciate your efforts. Love the pictures and sound. You should keep it up forever! Good Luck.

Thank you for your rattling great comment. Keep reminding yourself that life is for fun, smile, laugh and be positive. Love, Oracle Jai

Very well written story. You write so well I can see the girls playing in the sun in the window. It will be useful to everyone who reads it, including me. We used to play for fun then came little league and frustrated fathers, who wanted to be a jock in school, could not make the grade and so they took all the fun of playing on their kids. When competition fails to merit anything, we may again have fun just playing. Keep up the good work – for sure I will check out more posts. Ashlin

Thanks for your comments and observation. Yes, we do need to get it that life is fun not competition. When sex and life itself is for fun instead of dominance, we will not need so many babies. Love, Oracle Jai

    11. Maria says:

I need more fun in my life. Most of the time I am anxious that I will not make enough, have what I want, especially in my relationships. Do you ever feel like that? I was told to come to your site and read it. There is a lot here to read and digest. I am so tied up, I can't even imagine being free and living in paradise. Your suggestions work for you but will they work for me? You seem to only get visitors that are interested in your website. I am getting a lot more on mine but I am not happy or successful. Perhaps I do not know how to play. How do you play life? Maria

The story tells us to leave what is distressful behind. Remove what distresses you, then your work and website becomes fun. Does it please you to write? Then write. Does it please you to look at beautiful pictures and listen to music, then do that. All websites can reflect what you find joyous and fun in your life. Wealth, living in abundance is yours when you believe it is. Ah, there is the rub. You must believe before the truth of what you believe is real. Thanks for telling it like it is. Laugh, love and cherish yourself totally, without conditions and you win the lottery. Love, Oracle Jai

    12. Marine Schilk says:

I love the idea of playing in love. Getting rid of some of the old ideas of dominance, competition, who is who, who is better, is all so nasty and pointless. I Love your blogs. You seem to think we can change. I have my doubts but I guess if I can, anyone can.  You surely have perfect stories.

That's the spirit. Trying is for failing. Give it 100% commitment and you will succeed. Thanks for the comment. Love, Oracle jai

Your post is delicately edged and embossed with inspirational words. Competition hurts everyone, even the spectators. One would think the Olympics would show the joy of comradeship and cooperation between athletes but sadly no, for there is a prize, a trophy, a reward for being the best. Certainly not the best person, just the best athlete. Physical ability is great for health and work and that is its reward. Sports used to be for fun. Thanks for the post and I would like you to provide a post on competition and cooperation, although you lovingly approach it here and mention it in several posts, still…

Thank you for the compliment and suggestion that you would like a post on sports. As I have jokingly said, I have opinions on everything, you are right that sports used to be for fun. In the time when children were basically ignored and allowed to play with their friends without supervision or interruptions from parents. Ah those were the days..then parents got involved, mostly Dad and little league started up and that was the end of love and play in sports. We were on a roll to make the extinction of the human race look like the only solution. Hahahahaha, yes really! Love, Oracle Jai

What a vast website and educative posts, I absolutely love it and definitely, will bookmark your site. While I loved all the posts I have read so far, this one stands out in my mind. The simplicity with which your young girls just played a game without fear of losing for there was no winning or losing, just putting cards together as fast as they could. All life could be so joyous, playing in fun. I am removing all games that have a win or lose side to them. Best Regards!

Thanks for taking it personally. It is up to each of us to reintroduce love and joy into our lives and removing all the negative ways the human has invented to destroy what can be so wonderful in life. Why did we do this? We had the brain and opposable thumb to invent such a wonderful life and love the natural forces and all living critters as well as the plants. Perhaps it is not too late to change. We shall see how many people would love to play life in love. Love, Oracle Jai

I am really enjoying the theme/design of your blog. Do you ever run into any browser compatibility issues? A number of my blog readers have complained about my site not operating correctly in Explorer but looks great in Chrome. Do you have any advice to help fix this problem?

Yes, but I ignore it. Tell your readers to use Chrome. Thank you for reading Play Life in Love. We need to remove that which makes us sad or angry, like the Old Maid card in the deck. We have played that game of fear, worry and guilt to long and sigh with relief when disaster strikes anyone but us. We play life to lose and most humans do, if not all, even the few rich and powerful. Money and power fail to supply and satisfy our need for love, joy, perfect health and having fun. Hi, Neat post. There's a problem with your site in web explorer, might check this out. It is the chief marketplace and a huge amount of other folks will miss your wonderful writing because of this problem. sterowniki

Actually I do and it just refuses to load correctly after months of trying. Thanks for this information, we are as baffled as you are. Actually the fonts show up differently in Google Chrome as well. I understand the browsers are like that, different. I am just the writer and artist and have no control on how the browsers show my work. Thanks for your concern, Love, Oracle J.

I have been surfing on-line more than three hours as of late, but you have the best site ever. Not only is it beautiful but it has excellent material and advice as well. I love your stories, especially this one of your daughters playing cards. It is a fascinating discovery as well. Children, when loved and cherished, as you keep pointing out, have the answer to living a wonderful, joyous, loving life. In my opinion, if all site owners and bloggers made good sense as you do, the Internet would be a lot more useful than ever before. Rosalinda

Thank you for your lovely comment. Please do return and leave another compliment. We need all we can get. Be sure to compliment yourself all the time. Love, Oracle Jai

I think what you wгote was actually very reasonable. But, what abοut this? Suppose уou aԁԁed a little information? I aіn't sаying your іnfoгmation iѕn't goοd, but supposе you added something that makеs people desire more? I mean Plaу life for Love instead of ωin or lose іn competition. Be Positive Νow is a little bогing. You might glance at Yahоo'ѕ fгont page and see hοw they create post headlines to get people tο open the links. You might aԁd а vidеo oг a related picture or to to get rеaderѕ іnteresteԁ about everything you've ωrіtten. Ιn my opinіon, it mіght make your website a little livelier.

Thank you so much for taking an interest in what I say and how to get more people involved with changing their lives from being limited and destructive to being joyous and loving every minute of it. You are right. It is a time of flash, crash and burn. The sense of urgency is in the air and we have so little time. We yell see me, hear me, know me before we all die. We can change, you know. It is personal. Love, Oracle Jai

Particularly interesting. Children know how to play but we have either forgotten or the play was punished out of us. Cheers, for such a good post. It is my view your trusty visitors may well want considerably more information on how to play without keeping score or up with the Jones's.

Thanks for your comment and you are right, most adults do not know how to play. I will write more. Love, Hallelujah Jai

    25. Assine says:

My favorite comment is always going to be the one that shouldn't exist. You seem to have an immodest amount of remarks that shouldn't be stated. I notice that most people use Facebook as a commenting platform but you do not. Your enchanting WP site still gets comments of flattery from your readers, which is surprising only because they are reading your blogs instead of spending their time on one of the social networks.

Your blogs meet the needs of all of us and most people do not know what they really need. They think love is sexual attraction, work is usually drudgery and play is watching sports. In fact, looking for information about their reactions is unthinkable, when all they want is to do nothing more than calm down and dream. We are overwhelmed by stressful tasks and complain for there are no solutions. Our friends and colleagues show concern and ask what happened, not why it happen. As you point out everything is the result of what caused it but we never think of that. Our solutions are about blame and the responsibility is on them, not us. You say the solution is personal but I do not see anyone taking it personally. What are we to do?

There is only one thing for you to do. Take it personally. Love and cherish yourself and stop thinking and worrying about anyone including you. When we fill ourselves up with love and joy, we naturally cherish ourselves enough to go for health, playing life in fun and prosper. Try it, I guarantee you will like it. Love, Oracle Jai

Your site is a pleasure to visit. Your posts are extraordinary and the whole site gives a warm pleasant feeling. I loved the post, Play Life in Love. I have children too and I am going to make sure I remove any "Old Maids" lurking around my environment. Currently it looks like WordPress is the preferred blogging platform out there right now. Is that what you're using on your blog?

Yes, and thank you for the comment. We always like to know what our readers think. Love, Oracle Jai

    28. Fopone says:

What a number of us want are intelligent, creative, smart, knowledgeable and progressive people to show us the way to save ourselves and the planet. We need an education that tells it like it is, instead of the historic rhetoric of nonsense. We have never been in this position before and the old way of being has got to stop. The demands of today are not like anything we have ever faced. Our educational institutions are so far behind the times as to be a detriment to society. Having gone to college, I know whereof I speak. No one seems to be familiar with the demands of our state of the economy and society. I have found intelligence and an awareness in this blog site that is sadly lacking in the world. How can we make headlines buried in a avalanche of insanity and everyone talking nonsense all around us?

Uh, well, it is what it is. We are surrounded by desperate people, including our leaders and none were trained to examine the facts and think about a solution. We may have a large brain but we fail to use it. The only solution, my dear friend, is to love and cherish yourself enough to make your life one of joy, health and prosperity. Lamenting over the demise of the human specie is unhealthy to say the least and that is my job, so I can steer you to spend the last days in joy, playing life in love. Love, Oracle Jai

I read your post and wished I was good enough to write it. I have little girls too and I loved the story of their innocence and ability to throw away all that would spoil their fun. Yes we all need to hear this story and follow your daughters. Thanks.

Thank you for taking the time to comment and to see what must be done, something as simple as throwing away the joker, the one negative card that spoils the whole deck, all our lives. Love, Oracle Jai

    30. Lunter says:

Instead of distressing myself I could concentrate on what I really like. Instead of having a goal to be suitably compensated for my effort and brilliance, I could be having fun. But so far your blogs tell me I can have it all, that the compensation for the effort will just come. I can see that if I cherish myself and need a certain amount of money to say live in paradise and eat well, then of course I will find the way to provide that. I love this blog. I assume you know what you are talking about and know this is how it works. Besides I have tried it the other way and been way disappointed. Might as well give having fun, loving myself without reservations or conditions 100% effort. I guess that is the only way to ensure great success.

You have it. For instance, I love gardening. One day I put a clever ad in the ad section of the local newspaper. It has a drawing of a middle-aged Sheena, clad in a leopard skin, swinging on a vine with a pair of scissors. The caption read. "Let Sheena trim your jungle for you!" and a phone number.  I had more than enough jobs. I was fairly compensated for the work I love doing and it was enough to live in my my house, pay the mortgage and eat healthy. I lived in abundance. It works for everyone. Love, Oracle Jai
