GOOSE GIRL

  • Kilchurn Castle and Loch Awe Highlands

Once upon a time a princess lived with her mother, the queen, in a far, far out of the way, small kingdom without a king. Came time for the princess to wed and since there were no princes around, she had to go find one. The queen decided that the handmaiden would be enough escort, since she had no solders to spare. The two of them set out with several pack horses laden with a handsome dowry and the princess’s finery.

By the time they came upon a castle, the handmaiden had usurped the position of princess and the frail princess was now her handmaiden. They road into town and the fake princess was joyously received. The king just happened to have a son ripe for marriage with no bride in sight. The king asked what the princess wanted to do with her handmaiden and she replied she is yours, do whatever you desire. The king sent her with the boy who tended the geese and she became known as the Goose Girl.

The day before the wedding, the Goose Girl stopped inside the fire place that was used to heat the castle bed chambers at night, to cry her heart out. She cried her whole story between gigantic sobs. The king in his bed chamber heard her story and immediately went into action, collected the Goose Girl, dressed her befitting her station and told her to wait behind the curtain in the dining room.

At dinner the cunning king engaged the false princess in a conversation. After a few “You will be queen one day and what would you do if…?” questions, he finally finished the statement with the ringer, ”… if a servant girl paraded around the palace in the queen’s clothes?” Without hesitation the false princess fired, “I would tie her to a horse, have her dragged around the center of town until she was dead, for all to see what happens when a servant pretends to be a noble person.” Then the real princess steps out from behind the curtain, the game is up and the hand maiden died by her own punishment.

The moral of the story is: If a girl rises above the position of a servant, the boy, her lord and master, will kill her and she knows she deserves to die. A real princess is trained to serve her prince/king. Of course the princess gets loads of handmaidens, big dresses and jewels. We preach this fairy tale to all little girls so they desire prince charming, big jewels and fancy dresses but become the servant of too many children and her husband.

The primitive male started religion, so of course he put himself above all else as lord and master on earth as it is in heaven. His job was to kill, while her job was to give birth and serve. Since then all humans believe taking life is greater than giving and caring for life, ergo we will destroy all life before we stop this stupidity.

Girls and boys take a chance, be brave, be your own master and serve you. Cherish and honor you. Girls bring home your own bacon. Boys learn to cook and clean up after yourself. Make love not babies. Perhaps the two of you can work it out together, on equal terms NOW. All life on the planet depends on you.

Way cool! Some extremely valid points! I appreciate you penning this article and also the rest of the site is really good. I hate to say it but you are right, the lord and master is male and the princess and witch/mother are the females. We have made a real mess of our lives and all life in general. Thanks for the story.

I made the story short, there are more details but that is the way with everyone's life. We get lost in the details and forget what really matters. Love, Oracle Jai

I really appreciate the dedication you put into your website and detailed information you provide. It's great to come across a blog that isn't the same unwanted rehashed material. Wonderful read! In fact you cover subjects that are rare to find and your lessons are often most unusual. I will return often, there is a lot here to get to know.

I really appreciate you taking the time to make a positive comment, the more the merrier. Please do read everything. Love, Oracle Jai

I see you have a good deal more people commenting as part of your discussion. That is really good and invaluable. It means they are interested in what you say. More people are spending some time researching, so they can better take care of themselves. They get a very good education right here. This fairytale is probably several hundred years old and told children to want to be the prince and princess and how to live happily ever after. Well worded and thought out. This article brought huge smiles. It also teaches us about our way of life. Love the ruins of an ancient castle. The whole site is a pleasure and full of surprises. Thanks for posting this.  I’ll check back often for additional posts and recommend my very own friends and family about your website. You offer a lot of knowledge everyday.

Thanks for commenting and complimenting. I hope to cause some chuckles as well as deep thinking that leads to change. All fairytales involve magic from strange sources, witches, cats, geese, dwarves, fairies, elves, trees, even ogres. I have to assume that those magic critters only help the good in us to overcome the negative in our childhood, achieve true love, happily ever after and the castle and kingdom that goes with them.

Greetings, I love the knowledge you provide here in both Goose posts. I am quite involved with Canada Geese. I am amazed at your subject matter and I intend to read all you posts. You have an amazing blog! So easy to look at your home page and pick a pertinent topic. Fran

Thanks for your amazing comment. I do hope you read them all for they all pertain to you, personally. Who you are is who you trained to be and it is personal if you want to love, be joyous, healthy and prosper. Only you can get what you want out of life and that depends on who you believe you are. I always aim for more information regarding myths and fairytales. I disagree with the idea that men are responsible for all the damage done in the world. After all we cannot have babies and I believe most men would not go to war and kill and be killed, unless they thought it was for a better cause than living. If woman do not care for the baby and go out to work instead, then who will? I genuinely want to contribute something of value to understand more about the discussion and I am hoping for more clarification of our roles in society.

The stories are enchanting about how to live happily ever after and your posts are about that also. I just do not think we are the bad guys and the cause of our extinction. I will always come back to read more, for no one else is writing about the situation we are in and how to deal with it. But I can't help to explore and ask what happens when people do not conform to the rules set down by their society. Thanks so much for the opportunity to comment.

Thank you for commenting. You are correct it is hardly a one way street, still the human male has always ruled over the female and family, so let us be honest. Women served men by giving him children to do as he pleased with them. She could have refused and if she had, we would not be looking at our extinction nor would we have killed off more species than any extinction since the last major one 250 million years ago. What happened, neither right or wrong for those concepts were made up, happened. Besides his'story is just that, a story.

We must concentrate on now. Right now, no more children until we learn to love ourselves unconditionally, so we can love each other and the earth with all its aspects, including all life. Then we will make a joyous, loving, harmonious society, accentuating the positive and living in paradise. As far as to what happens when we do not comply with the rules of society; do you know of any society that has laws against joy, love, having fun and prospering? Do you know of any society that makes their people have babies? This is personal. There are lots of laws against conspiracy, rebellion in crowds and blowing up buildings. Okay? Love, Oracle Jai

Getting somewhere in the world is hard and it usually takes a long time. In many cases, too much time… So much that you might be ready to call it quits. There does not seem to be any help, including the church. Someone shared your website with me and suggested reading the Goose Girl. It really hit home. I read some more and I thought by following your plan I might have a good, happy life. I was skeptical at first but I tried that smiling and laughing when I felt like crying or killing. And it worked. It turns out that people are very responsive to a happy me. Something as simple as smiling and laughing, especially when at first I did not feel like it. It keeps getting easier and my work and my relationships are better. I am a believer!! Thanks so much, love, Karen

Thank you Karen for trying and succeeding and then telling me about it. I love a success story. Of course once you start there is only more paradise to live in. Love, Oracle Jai

I hated life and didn't want to be in the world at large with friends. I was really fat as a child and ate only the fattening foods my mother cooked. We all were fat. I thought it was genetic. Then I began to read some science on being fat and the dangers. At first I did not care, I never had fun and thought I never would. I watched others pretend to be happy but noticed the only time they were happy was when someone else was a loser or lost the game or they stole something and no one noticed. What was the point?  Most of the time they were unhappy like me only they were not fat.

Now I am on a diet of only fruits and vegetables. I found your site and read about the ingredients for health. I got to the Goose Stories and the Goose Girl and had to write a comment about your writing. It is very engaging and good for someone like me. I realize that if you do not care for yourself no one will care about you either. My mother did not care about her and filled up on candy, cookies, hotdogs and spaghetti. I am coming back to read all your blogs. Thanks for making your writing so lively.

Thank you for commenting. You got it and I am so glad. My posts are suppose to wake people up so they can drop the negative and accentuate the positive. Love, Oracle Jai

    8. Nicki says:

Thanks for the marvelous posting! I definitely enjoyed reading it, you are a great author. I love fairytales and now I can see that they were told to us for us to grow up with certain beliefs. But did our parents want us to see mother as a witch, dad as not being there, dead or otherwise? Was the innocent youngest brother the only one who would be good and kind enough to get the help he needed. I am thinking thru some of my favorites and they are all pretty depressing. Girls locked in towers until rescued by a man. Of course the religious stories are no better and neither are the Greek Myths. All stories to teach children what life would be like. I will make certain to bookmark your blog and will come back regularly in order to see what else you put in my face. I want to encourage you to continue your great job, have a nice holiday weekend!

Thank you for your thoughts on the topic. Those stories were more than guides they were to warn children how dangerous the world was and how you had to be to survive in it. The king was held blameless in all the stories, in fact he had the desired position to which only the brave, good and lucky boy could hope to get. Boys went on adventures, killed the beast and found the innocent girl, confined since birth in a lifeless state or in a tower, same thing. Usually it was the princess that held the keys to the kingdom. The stories end with, they were married and lived happily ever after.

However it did not end there because men blame women for all the problems in the world. Once the maiden was screwed, she became the evil Queen/witch in all the fairytales along with dwarves, ogres and unnatural animals, except for Snow White.  Men were right, they just left out the part about why the princess became the evil queen/witch mother, who would pursue her daughter until the daughter died. Well, the queen's beauty would fade and the girl would grow up beautiful. Men would love the young beauty, especially the King and the Queen would lose everything. It was a matter of survival. True Love really is only skin deep, as it turns out. However, mother made the man a king, so who in the end of the story takes her rightful place? Well, this was fun, thanks for the comment, it got me started. It takes very little. Love, Oracle Jai

    9. Monroe Parnin says:

Wonderful post. My mother did not read this story to us but most fairytales are like that. Bad mother, good little girl or princess and the prince or stupid boy who gets her in the end by either killing the dragon or ogre or doing a kindness to a fish, crone, dwarf, bird, cat something with magical powers. I was wondering if you could elaborate a little bit further on this subject. I read the Goose Stories and this genre fascinates me.  Appreciate it!

"Fairytales can come true, it can happen to you", lines from an old song. Yes they tell how one magically goes from rags to riches, from nothing to everything, from death to happily ever after. I am interested and will write a blog about it. Thanks for the suggestion. Love, Oracle Jai

    10. Pasture says:

I like the way you conduct your posts. Yes sir! Love the use of fairytales to explain how we live by such horrible morals. Well the church has a lot to do with bad morals, yes sir!!! We will do well, if we follow your advise instead of the advise of murderers and thieves and that includes most governments, yes sir!!!

Thank you for your enthusiasm and of course you are right. Yes sir. I am a sailor and "Yes sir" is the standard reply. Please come and read again and comment. Love them. Love, Oracle Jai

    11. Han says:

Brilliant, thanks, I will visit again now! Wow, Fairytales, who would have thought they had morals! I doubt Walt knew this!

Thanks for coming and I hope you keep returning, reading and commenting. I am sure Walt did not, he changed them anyway but even his had a strong moral undercurrent beneath the cartoons. All of his cartoons and movies were full of violence. Blowing up a cat, dog, bird, or coyote was common and they magically put themselves back together to get revenge. What do you think the morals of Walt's stories are? Al Capp author of Lil Abner cartoon said on the Tonight Show, he would rather take his children to a sexy movie than expose them to a Walt Disney cartoons. He was right and I would not let my young girls see any of his early movies except Fantasia. They could see Walt Disney's early stuff when they were grown. Love, Oracle Jai

How do you defend articles on your website against copyright infringement? Your writing and material is very unique. Someone will want to use it as theirs and make a fortune on book rights or something like that.

This happens all the time in the world. Too many frustrated people. I want the word to get out and I am always safe, so whatever happens, I will succeed. That seems unreal to someone who believes the crap we have been told all our lives. Start again my friend. We start by loving and trusting ourselves, leave worry, sickness, poverty and unhappiness behind and our future will be bright. Love, Oracle Jai

This is a excellent site, could you be interested in going through an interview about yourself, why you decided to write this insightful material and just how you made it?

Sure, fire away. Thanks for reading and commenting. I am looking forward to more conversations. Love, Oracle Jai

Helpful information on how we live and what we believe. Fairytales are passe' but when I read an old favorite and what it actually was telling us as children, I am shocked. I read your other Goose stories as well. Why did people go along with such dangerous morals? You are right however, even if we never heard it before we still believe the moral is correct. I guess that is because our parents believed it and still believe it. Lucky me I discovered your web site unintentionally, and I'm shocked why this twist of fate didn't take place earlier! I am returning often. Have a lot to catch up on. I would love to hear some other old stories we still believe today and should take a look at. Angelo

Thank you so much for your comment. I could do as you ask for it would continue to shock and amaze you. Love Oracle Jai

Thanks for taking a simple walk-through and finding what lays buried in the post. Please keep reading and you will surely change for the life you have always wanted and denied yourself. Love, Oracle Jai

I adore this blog site layout! It is so good. How do you do it? The writing is fab as well. I am telling all my friends about it. I am going to read the Golden Goose Stories next. Are you going to write more fairytales? Really like them and now I know what they mean. Someone suggested Cinderella, How about that one? Thanks, Carroll

I thought I would take on the news which are also tales, written in such a way that you believe the information is true. Look at the deception the US news always has given its readers. I will mention the Twin Towers and it is a wonder that we still have a free internet. That will be the first thing to disappear if we really get that world order the US government keeps mentioning. We need loving peace and we are going to war. Time to change our thoughts and ways, boys and girls. Love, Oracle Jai

    17. Idna says:

This blog site has lots of extremely helpful stuff on it! Thank you for informing me! I had no idea that fairytales were moral statements. If so and I see that they are, it is no wonder we live in fear, evil dresse up like teachers, preachers, mothers, officials, bosses in any business, including and especially the government. All slaves to the system we set up, as you say, since the beginning. Amazing and I never saw it until you pointed it out.

Thank you for getting it. Fortunately fear  and evil fail to exist in the real world. They are made up to enslave. If you decide to become real, then love yourself unconditionally and start your life again with that love and curiosity knowing your are safe in the natural garden of the earth as a baby is. Humans are the biggest and most dangerous predator in the world because killing to them is fun and games. They have no respect for anything, including themselves, nor an understanding of what they cause. Just know you are safe, believe you are safe and you will be. Love, Oracle Jai

Hi, I just hopped over to your webpage, not sure why, until I read the Goose Girl and the titles of your other blogs. I am excited to keep reading and come back often. Thanks for making something worth reading through. Beautiful site as well. Loved the picture of the castle on the lake. Where do you get your pictures?

Most of the pictures are Webshots.com Wallpaper and free on your computer. Notice the castle is in ruins as should be all the beliefs and tales of that time and earlier. We need to think positive, be positive and love ourselves. Then we might love our children without conditions and the natural order of the universe. Thanks for coming, commenting and please come back for more. Love, Oracle Jai

Please let me know if you're looking for a author for your weblog. You have some really good articles and I feel I would be a good asset. If you ever want to take some of the load off, I'd absolutely love to write some content for your blog in exchange for a link back to mine. Please shoot me an email if interested. Kudos!

I have has a few requests like this and usually delete them because writing my opinions are my joy. If you think you could do better then write about a fairytale that has another important symbolic message for us. If I like it and publish it you get the credit and a link to your site.I actually have many including other children stories. OK? Love, Oracle Jai

    20. Rene says:

I actually, really loved reading this article post. Taking a fairytale and showing us its intention. How to get children to follow the rules of society. He is the hero of life. He gets to take the incredible adventure, overcoming all obstacles and wining the prize, fame and fortune. If she tries to have an adventure she will be chopped down as the usurper she is. Her job is to be asleep while growing up and then become the prize won by the prince.

You are an incredible writer with a impressive eye for fine detail and gets right to the heart of the matter. It is easier now for women but there is still mother to hold us to repeating her story. I am going to get fixed!! Then I will have no recourse but to have my life be an adventure!

I really loved reading this comment. Get fixed, I heartily agree. Men are not about to care about the overpopulated earth. Women;s place is in the home, cooking, cleaning, free sex and giving him his begats. He does not want more competition in the market place, government, army or religion. Even teachers are a threat to his controlling position in society. Go on and show the rest there is a way to remove the overwhelming threat men pose for us, that techno-city in the sky without a living thing left on earth. Love, Oracle Jai

    21. Dars says:

Oh my goodness! an amazing article Oracle. Thank you. Of course, so far, they are all amazing. You talk about subjects that everyone is afraid to touch, look at or even, god forbid, read. But I can see that many people found their way here without Google's help. I thought fairytales were just nice bedtime stories. Looking at them through your eyes is a real eye opener. I doubt our parents ever thought about what those stories were telling us. Mother is an evil person who will try to kill you, little girl. Why would mothers do that?  Dars

Thank you for commenting Dars. Mothers used the word step mother and failed to realize the stories were really about her, all mothers, step or otherwise. Step mothers got a bad rap, no matter how loving or kind they were. Mothers deserved it. That is a subject for another post. Hmmmmm Thanks for the suggestion, Love, Oracle Jai

    22. Aya says:

Have you given any kind of thought at all with translating your main web page in to German? Your blogs are so wonderful, clear, funny and right on target. Even though I did not know this particular fairytale, I can see how we still believe these morals. I read your comment and Snow White is now different. How about Cinderella, another witch/mother.

Funny you should say German because most of our favorite fairytales were told to the Grimm brothers in German, eventhough they often originated earlier in other languages and countries. I probably should take on Cinderella, the reason we have so many cosmetics, breasts enlargements, fat trimming, tanning and bleaching for women. Men get massages. Love, Oracle Jai

    23. Stanley says:

Hello! I've been following your blog for a while now and finally got the courage to go ahead and give you a shout out from Lubbock Texas! Just wanted to say keep up the fantastic work! My mother read us some Fairy tales when we were young but I had never heard this one. Still if I look on them again I can see they all carry the same message and there is a lot of killing. You should do one on Rapunzel or even Snow White.  Stanley

Yes there are many similar stories and perhaps I will tackle them. A lot of the stories deal with the mother, portrayed as a witch, turning against her daughter when she comes of age. The young daughter is perceived as being more beautiful and a rival for the love of her husband. Women spend an inordinate amount of money, energy and time to hold back ageing. Beauty and sex are more important than character, kindness and wisdom.

Men have the position of King, wealth and position, so they fail to need to cover up their age, potbelly, sagging muscles and thinning hair etc. They can pretty much have any woman they want and they want a young, stupid, pretty one. "Fairytales can come true, they can happen to you." Carolyn Leigh lyrics from an old song. Thanks for the comment and suggestions, Love, Oracle Jai

First off I want to say excellent blog! I am curious to know how you center yourself and clear your thoughts prior to writing. I have had difficulty clearing my mind in getting my ideas out there. I do take pleasure in writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are lost simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or hints? Thank you!

I thought I answered this but I think I may have accidently deleted it. I took a design class and we all had the same problem. We could not put up the first stroke. The teacher instructed everyone put a mark on the paper and make a design around it. We did and found we never had that problem again. Somehow we worked it in or threw the paper away and started again. Same with writing only it is so much easier with the computer. We erase every change we desire and still have "paper".

I took several writing courses and the most valuable came from a teacher who had us put a word in the center of the page and then write related words or phrases like rays from the sun out from the word. Pretty soon the rays had rays with more ideas and before we realized it, we were writing a whole article or book. Every word just flowed like a painting.

It was uniquely us, not another's style. Ours and great, the opinion of the teacher's was unimportant unless it was positive and encouraging. I just write, my mind is always in my subconscious and I do a lot of editing before I publish. Over the months if I reread the post, I most likely will make further changes. Love, Oracle Jai

Touche. Great arguments. Keep up the great effort. The Goose Girl, the story of what we think every little girl should be, a princess. Her task is to remain one for her one true love. We are never to grow up so keeping house for our prince is our reward for being a pretty little girl that never wakes up to reality. What poppycock! Thanks for the great stories.

Great comment and touche back to you. Women have got to wake up before they have over populated us to the point that we all die. She has got to stop this. Sex is not love. We must learn to love and cherish ourselves and then we can have a life. Kids are over rated. Love, Oracle Jai

Hi there all, here every one is sharing these kinds of experiences, so it's nice to read this website, and I used to visit this weblog all the time.

So what happened? Did you read it all and now have been thinking positive, doing positive and causing that positive life you have always wanted? You love yourself unconditionally, allowing your subconscious dictate what you do so you live joyously, in love, healthy, playing in the workplace and living in abundance? Kings and slavery to their system are but a fairy tale and you have grown up. Congratulations. Let us encourage everyone else to do likewise and no kids. Our population needs to downsize. If you desire to increase your experience of life, keep visiting this web site and be updated with the most up-to-date information posted here. The Goose Girl is a fairy tale I had not heard before but it speaks to the same morality as all the others. Imagine what those stories meant to small children and then imagine what our "truthful" stories meant to our children. Brought up on stories and lies!!  Definitely time to leave the illusions behind and go into reality of our own making. Thanks for all the blogs.

Thanks Jonnie, I hope everyone gets it and decides enough is enough, become responsible and know the truth. Love Oracle Jai

I like the valuable information you provide in your articles. I especially found the Goose Girl interesting. There is a lot of pressure for girls, all around the world, to be the pretty prise for the male. She is not trained to do anything but worry about her presentation. If she does start a career, it is over when she marries and has children. then he leaves for a younger, pretty prise and she is left with the kids, no career and no time to pursue one.

Civilization is set up in beginning and furthered in the Koran, Bible, Indian, Buddhist, in fact all teachings and religions, to keep the woman the servant of the man. Your answer in The Rebel is one of a peaceful change. If each woman changed her life, got her tubes tied, the world would definitely change for the better. We need to refused to have children in order to give the big corporations more customers, the governments more soldiers and women more masters. I will bookmark your weblog and check again here frequently. I am quite certain I'll learn lots of new stuff right here!

Someone has got to do it and I do think women are the ones to do this. Men are driven by their penis, which makes begats. He is so afraid of losing that he will still feel in charge when we take control of our bodies. If we just got fixed nothing scary would happen to his domination and women would be free to explore their talents while saving the planet. Here you offer a broader range of 'relevant' topics that benefit everyone. I personally would like you to write a post on Aging Parents – This encouraging and supportive blog is for everyone and we all need need and want insight on aging. After all we are all getting older and lasting longer. Everyone seems concerned with the young and sexy, news, magazines, movies, TV shows and the middle age and old are left out. There are more of us and we are the ones that run the world. Look at what we have done and it must be changed.

Excellent idea for a post and I will get on it right away. After all I am an older person as well and am well acquainted with the subject. I would appreciate others stating the subjects they have to contend with that cause distress. Thanks, Love, Oracle Jai

My partner and I came across your web page looking for something love. We stayed at least an hour reading all about love. It was not what we expected. To tell the truth we really did think love and sex were the same thing. Everyone uses those words interchangeably. We are coming back. The site is so unusual and pleasant and you have many posts that would interest anyone especially us. So thank you for the excellent read.

Thanks for the excellent comment and please do return. Love is the most important ingredient in our lives and we are the target. Once we love and cherish ourselves unconditionally, we can love everything. Love, Oracle Jai

I appreciate you for sharing your ideas with us. I absolutely enjoy your blog site, all the pictures and natural sounds. I would love more fairy tales and what they really mean. In our society we have made the girl desire to be a whore instead of a princess. I know it is our fault and shame on us, as if sex was the answer to love. You hit the nail on the head. We certainly must change and I for one am going to get fixed. I have had enough of this sham. You definitely have great articles and reviews.

Hear, hear!!! Yes by all means get fixed. We keep raising the kind of people who are slaves to a very destructive few carving the way to our extinction. Thanks so much for your comment. It is all a fairy tale, even the ogres are a better lot than us. Love, Oracle Jai
